Spitfire over Largs

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Dramatic air display twists, turns and loops, all at a dramatic fast pace and split second timing as the ground appeared to loom closer each time.

Seeing the agility of the Spitfire at close hand it’s easy to see what a battle winner it was, great credit to the wartime generation.

Also in this picture is Largs’s new Ferris wheel and the Cumbrae ferry, Loch Shira, meanwhile the Waverley is loading up for a cruise at Largs pier. (Obscured by Loch Shira).
