Guardian of the Woods

Out walking in Mine woods, Bridge-of-Allan this afternoon I passed this sculptured head of the 'Guardian of the Woods' placed high on a tall tree.
This is such a discreet piece of public art that most people never notice it but once you know where to look I can never resist going up and taking a much closer look.

The artist is Lori Anderson, and Stirling Council and Falkirk College commissioned it some years ago.
