Workhouse

One of the older buildings in the local hospital complex. A plaque says that it was a workhouse founded in 1900, later to become an infirmary and then a hospital. I had a long-awaited appointment today and am feeling relieved.
We amused ourselves with some old tennis films last evening, collected by the British Film Institute. Suzanne Lenglen demonstrating her serve, Sue Barker as a junior, etc.
