Magic Weekend 2021 Day 3 - Try Time!

After breakfast and waking up properly we headed into town. We took a few photos, are lunch and off we went to St James park for day two of Magic Weekend.


 First up today was Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity, and it was a good game resulting in a convincing 32-18 win for Trinity. Next was the one we'd been waiting for: Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves! The Wolves have been in good form recently and Wigan really haven't so their fans were full of it! It didn't help that we conceded a try in the first minute! I was fearing the worst and another proper battering but in the end it was pretty close and we lost by 6-10. Our defence was decent but we are really lacking pace, cohesion and creativity in attack. It's come to something that saying "At least we weren't terrible" is praise indeed!


 Finally it was the turn of Hull KR and Leigh Centurions. Leigh were newly promoted this season and have only won one game. They lost this one 44-6! It was very one - sided! I practiced a few action shots! (I need a bit more practice!) The Hull KR player (upside down, grey and purple shirt) is just about to ground the ball!


 After it was all finished for another year we grabbed a bite to eat then went for a final couple of drinks in the Crows Nest! That was Magic for this year! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and can't wait to do it again next year! Maybe turn it into a proper holiday, as my birthday present seeing as it's a milestone birthday!
