Catching Up in the Sun

I met up with two friends M & D today, one of whom I’d not seen for nearly two years. It was wonderful to walk and have a big catch up. We chat on Whats App most days and I play scrabble with D online most days (Words With Friends). Soooo nice to meet in person again though. And what a glorious day for a catch up after about 6 weeks of cloud and a daytime max of 15.5C. It was full sun all afternoon and was 28-30C per the car reading. A bit of a shock to the system, thanks to M who bought us a much welcome ice cream!!!

The UK has now recorded 7m Covid infections since the start of the pandemic, not forgetting those who caught it before testing was widely available. Today was the busiest day on the tube since March 2020, with numbers still only half of pre pandemic levels.
