WWT Barnes

We took the twin grandchildren to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre at Barnes today as they do not start school yet. Very few people there so we had a very nice time in the children’s playground and watching the otters being fed. The photo is from the observatory..we were the only people in there. It made a nice background for a photo of the children ( not allowed to put that on social media though). Always lots of cranes in the distance on the London skyline and also nearer for a new stand at Fulham Football ground. Not so many birds at the moment but we will visit again in a month or so. We usually take a packed lunch when we go there but today decided we would not bother and buy lunch in the restaurant…what a mistake. They had no sandwiches and no children’s lunch boxes, apparently they have had problems with deliveries. So we could only have drinks and cakes/ biscuits, not healthy for little children.  Very annoying. Next time we will take a packed lunch again.
