Days gone by

The day has gone by. I have been sorting again in my room. I’ve got rid of so much paperwork/magazines etc. Things are better organised (and labelled of course!). I’ve had a lovely time and have found things I had forgotten all about.

This was a book, which I think must have been given out to every household - hence I have two copies, one of which might have been at my grandma’s house. It was produced in 1947 (the year I was born) to celebrate the centenary of Bradford being given the Charter of Incorporation, which presumably gave the city independence.

It’s fascinating looking at the photos - my grandad had a car like those going along Manningham Lane. No wonder the day went by!
