Crooks
Screen shot of a point cloud model from the survey on Saturday. I j have been at the all desk day. Fitbit says sub 2000 steps, probably accounted for by getting cups of tea and a biscuit. "Thank goodness" I have a batch of full on hard tramping about in the north west for the rest of the week. I'll then be thankful for a desk day once again.
We had a really annoying call on the land line today, a crook claiming to be from our bank explaining there had been a string of fraudulent attempts on our bank account. All we had to do was transfer all our funds to a special account for safety.
The alarming aspect was the crook spoke with a remarkably plausible Scottish accent. When we told "Mark" politely we weren't doing it he hung up then his line manager "Lorraine" called back to say they were really authentic and not crooks at all. They had the tech -and its common out there in fraudster land- to place a real bank number in the recipients caller display.
For the removal of all doubt we checked with the real bank. They were indeed crooks.
Everyone, please be careful when answering the phone to a call claiming to be from the bank.
