Pink Rose of Sharon in Scottish Vase

The vase has thistles cut into it -- that's the Scottish symbol. From our June 2019 trip. Historically, Scottish was saved from invading Englishmen because they got caught in thistle and were trapped.
Such a gorgeous day weather-wise here in Cleveland, Ohio, for Labor Day.  Our water is tinted brown from manganese that Hurricane Ida winds churned up from deeper part of Lake Erie.  Still drinkable, supposedly, just don't do laundry.
