The Matchworks

I was pretty surprised to find that I've never posted a shot of The Matchworks before; I drive past it often and I'm sure I've shot it before. Originally occupied by Bryant & May as a match factory until it closed in 1994, it was the last surviving match making business in the UK. Happily it was re-developed by Urban Splash and is now in use as office and studio space. It's a very attractive Art Deco design.

Yesterday we learned that 4 Ox cheeks is a hell of a lot of meat. So we ate 2 of them and the other 2 will be turned into steak pie for this evening.
