Eternity
A crushed beer can, concreted. The copperplate is in the style of Arthur Stace, who chalked “Eternity” on Sydney’s footpaths half a million times over many decades.
I like that Will Coles’ concrete art is usually hidden in plain view. Other examples: a designer clutch purse (“Fake”), a stone block in three pieces (“Memorial”) and, of course, the dead pigeon. I’ll put up a trigger warning if I ever find it again.
