Hórreos

I showed recently an hórreo (grain store on stilts) with a road underneath it, and people commented on it´s possible instability. So today I´ve been to Ñao, which has a fair number of hórreos, to show pictures (main and extra) that give a bit more information about them: For scale, the first picture shows an hórreo on uneven ground, so one long leg and one short: the long leg is taller than I am, and I´m an inch short of 6ft tall. 
Looking at them, I´ve realised what I hadn´t before: that several of these have throughways beneath them to give access to the properties behind them. So my hórreo in Sietes was less unusual than I thought.
