A Train of Jackdaws

Until I saw this group of Jackdaws this afternoon I didn't know that the correct collective noun for them is "train". This was devised by the naturalist Gilbert White who said, "If we do not much wonder to see a flock of rooks usually attended by a train of daws..." (from The natural history of Selborne) The black of this "train" made a striking contrast with today's snow!
