York Gate, where l am a volunteer,  doesn’t open on Monday or Tuesday.
But today there was a special event for volunteers to listen to Ben, the head gardener.
He gave us a talk on the recent developments that have taken place in the last four years that have transformed some areas and some insight of what plans there are for the future.
Gardeners are such optimists: we plan and plant for the immediate future and for future generations.
Really informative to listen to his knowledge, understanding and vision.
An enjoyable couple of hours, obviously enhanced by the yummy refreshments we all tucked in to.
