Man sieht den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht

You don't see the wood for the trees - almost.

Being a good son I went home to my parents' place for the weekend to work at the farm. There was some work to do in our forest. The weather opted to take a turn for the worse and it started to snow again with temperatures well below freezing point. No nice circumstances to walk around outside, but good enough for most forest operations - and I actually only worked from the seat of an air-conditioned tractor...

Anyways, the photo shows a beech tree and a common spruce growing side by side, which I stumbled upon while rushing through the wood land.
