Non-Egyptian pyramids
Today has been hot, my car thermometer claimed 27° at one point. It was certainly very warm and almost humid. Can this be Scotland?
The weather made me feel very lethargic but I felt an uncontrollable urge to make coconut pyramids, perhaps it was seeing all the kind comments on my mummy blip yesterday, for which, thank you!
My plans were foiled at the first hurdle when I had no coconut. I went down to Craigleith to get some, but there was no coconut in either Lidl or Sainsburys. I was taken aback though my how many empty shelves there were in Sainsburys though, the first evidence i have really seen of shortages. I engr down to Waitrose who had few gaps on their shelves and plenty of very expensive dessicated coconut.
An hour later with pyramids suitably decorated with chocolate and rainbow sprinkles I took some round to Ali complete along with some raspberry magnums in a cool box. I got there with the lollies still frozen so we enjoyed them in the garden.
Back home Kathryn popped in on her way home to say hallo and to pick up some pyramids for the girls. It was good to see her after her busy working weekend.
We called off on bridge tonight as somebody else couldn't make it either and so enjoyed a lazy dinner followed by catch up on the Monday quizzes. We're only a week behind now.
Looking forward to meeting up with one of my oldest friends tomorrow, she's up for a few days from Wiltshire.
Keep safe and well everyone silly numbers still and on the rise. Goodness knows what will happen now it's time for the English schools to restart.
