First Nations Sculpture

A trip to Dawyk Botanic Gardens beside Peebles today. This eight foot Native American celebrates the gardens links with North America.

Many of the trees in the garden were brought back to Dawyk by adventurer David Douglas in the 1820's. Note the giant fungi at the foot of the sculpture.

Another scorching day but the huge trees gave us some very welcome shade.
