Light and shadow

Went to the cathedral today to pick up a ticket for the Flower Festival.  While there I thought I'd hunt for a widwed shot and came up with this.

These rather handsome chairs are newish and only for those officiating  at services.  I like the look of them and today was particularly taken by how the sunlight and shadow played on this one.  As for BobsBlips' theme of a different angle, I think it's fair to say we don't usually portray chairs from the back.

It's been another very hot day, though by now (4.30) it's clouding over, if no less warm.  Looks like it may rain tomorrow, which is a shame as I've planned a little jaunt.  Well, I can get wet!
