Life, not as we see it.

Moi, getting into character, mais oui.

Long, long drive today from Epaignes to La Baule, partly because You Know Who's finger disagreed with our new satnav, and had us running back and forward on the same, or similar bits of Autoroute. Eventually we escaped from the Ground Hog effect and meandered (what speed limit) through the blooming French countryside, carefully avoiding the latest generation of enormous agricultural tractors, and of course the missing UK HGV drivers. I thought there were lots on the A1 & A1M on Monday, but nothing like the volume on the French N routes, D routes and of course A routes. It must be said however that these guys over here are far more courteus and considerate than our native version.

Dining out continues to be a problem because of the Great Scottish IT-FU. Seems like we can bypass the system if initally entering the premises on the excuse of a pee, then a wee swally, then, after a suitable interval, requesting the Menu. I had a beautiful RARE burger this evening, and a delightful off the bone Dorade found it's way to Sue. Those, and a couple of beers and 2 xVin Rose, cost only 80 Euros. ( !!!! )

Came across a group of ancient motorcycle fans, hence the bike photos today. A velo Mac 350, a DKW 500cc twin two stroke, a strange motorised bike and a unusual (French?) 500cc single Side Valve thumper., On extras . . . .
Weather forecast for tomorrow not great so might be a wash out. Wet photos to come ramorra.
