Summer Returns
Today the sun shone and the wind was warm with temperatures creeping up towards 20°C. It is however a one-day phenomena according to the weather forecast. But one day is better than no days!
We were out in the garden for most of the day, doing autumn things. I picked a whole patch of potatoes and replaced the rough patch with a raised bed, adding a little extra earth from nearby. This should make life easier next spring - what planning!!
The rowan berries really are incredible this year, There are just so many on every tree. Normally the waxwings arrive a little later in the year and stay for just a couple of days on their way south. They spend those days eating every rowan berry in sight and when the trees are bare of berries they continue south. I wonder if they will arrive this year, or if there are just too many berries for them?!
