The Artist

L and I took a trip up to Perthshire. Turned into a lovely day. We had lunch in Dunkeld - freshly made sandwiches from the Deli which we ate sitting on a bench overlooking the River Tay. And then we went to see my friend Karin a few miles further north. Karin's lovely garden studio is open until this coming Sunday as part of Perthshire Open Studios and she has a range of work on display, including some very evocative paintings of Morocco and two series of local paintings - one looking at trees and the other the flooded fields down in the Tay valley a short walk from her house. Karin and I were at school together and met up at the reunion we had several years ago but have been in touch more recently on social media so it was great to see the work up close that I have only seen shared online.
