Holker Hall

Yesterday's intense heat has given way to rain overnight and a misty, much cooler, rather humid day here today.

We went to Holker Hall today and enjoyed an excellent tour around the house, which has a very homely feel.  After this we walked around the gardens.  Lunch in the courtyard cafe was delicious - smoked mackerel salad.
