River Rescue

Thankfully a bit cooler today. Not for these guys here though as they were head to toe in wet suits and rescue equipment by the look of things.
Met with Nicoiseannie  at Cardington, and took her along to show her the Cardington Lock entrance to Bedford Priory Park.
We had a good walk with Flint, and although it was a bit scary at one point for Flint, Anne kept calm and dragged him out of the deeper water. Although he didn’t seem any the worse for it. He was also a good boy when we sat at the farm shop for lunch after.
I am surmising this is a drill the fire and rescue chaps were doing. The guy on the bank was shouting instructions to them and by the time we walked back, they were in a different part, but too far away to see exactly what was going on.
We were lucky with the weather, it has rained a couple of times since.
