Bags and Alice

A superb meal last night at Cora Pearl near Covent Garden.  Not cheap but not silly money either, and definitely our ‘go to’ restaurant in London.  Turned out we missed the 90% bit of the 10% chance of precipitation given on the weather forecast so having not taken jackets we were soaked by the time we got back to the hotel.  But we enjoyed the evening.

Today we headed to the V&A and first saw the ‘Bags’ exhibition before having a quick drink and visiting the ‘Alice’ exhibition.  Two quite different exhibitions but we thoroughly enjoyed both.  These were actual costumes used in a ballet production of Alice in Wonderland; I can’t for the life of me imagine how you would dance in that dress!

Now home and feeling shattered.  I don’t know if it’s the aftermath of having Covid or we are just getting old but we both feel absolutely exhausted.  Worth it though.
