Araneus quadratus

Four-spot Orbweaver, female.

British Spiders says that this beautiful girl can grow up to 17mm, I'm very tempted to go back and measure her as she was definitely larger than that, easily the largest (bodied) spider I've ever seen in the UK.

The forecast storms never materialised, and around midday it was actually quite nice. As I'm working at a festival all weekend I hope the inclement weather has passed us by, the field of mud experience is never great lol.
