Shapeshifter
Edit: I accidentally uploaded this for the 23rd. I guess blip doesn't let you just change the date of your blip, so I had to reupload!
Something lazy, since I didn't take any photos today and the pocketwizards were dying on me (I just realized how weird that might sound - pocketwizards are used to fire flashes by infrared, off camera). A flash positioned below maximized the texture of the wall and otherwise not much thought process went into this except for composition. I promise I'll be putting more effort in the next couple days, especially since #100 is coming up and I've got to uphold the crown! Thanks to everybody for the good response on this photo and thanks to the blip dudes for choosing it as staff pick! Its been racking up some traction.
Back in Brussels, its good to be with the family. Everybody's really happy and I wish I didn't have to work so much so I could enjoy the break more! I realize I won't be able to relax properly until after my exams and subsequent internship are done, which is August. My to-do list is overflowing nowadays...
In other news, after talking about it with Thom back in leam, I couldn't resist buying Pandemonium. One of those mighty PS1 classics, a 2.5D scroller. Contrary to Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Croc, Oddworld and the likes, I hadn't picked it up since I was 7 or 8. Its also ridiculously hard, which is quite enjoyable. Feels good to play a video game once in a while, its been forever.
On a sidenote, I'm sticking to black and white (or minimal color as in this photo) since I'm being a total spaz about color calibration these days. The spyderpro (not spyderBRO) is messing up my color settings and I'm at the point where I don't trust any color profile anymore. My past color blips look totally bizarre, my blacks aren't pure black, its driving me crazy! Until I get it sorted out, my vision in black and white, to minimize any bad editing that may come out of this bad phase.
