Helianthus tuberosus

Also known as Jerusalem artichoke. They make a wonderful display in the garden. The SAS came to my garden to paint this afternoon. I was supposed to go to my Sedbergh WI Bookclub this afternoon, but I didn’t go because I had double booked myself. I had arranged a painting afternoon in my garden. I wasn’t sure if the weather would be good enough (thunderstorms had been predicted) but it was ok. We did have a brief rain shower, but as the afternoon went on, the sun came out. We had an enjoyable afternoon with most of us painting helianthus flowers.
