Tells the Story

I mentioned yesterday about the hideous gales we had yesterday. Well if those were gales,  last night was twice as bad. Very little sleep, so many bangs and noises and howling wind frightening. . However we did survive. As can be seen we are without power as are thousands of rural folk around South Canterbury. The workmen are doing there very best but there is so much to repair. We initially had power this morning but since have lost it. Not expected back on until tomorrow afternoon.
I’m using my phone data to load but need to watch the battery usage.
Before I publish a huge and appreciative thank you to you all for your response to yesterday’s basilica landscape. You are all so very kind.
The Covid stats will be added later when I can find out what they are.
An early night as nothing much we can do without lighting. And a good sleep is needed.
Edit next day. Covid stats - 11 new community cases, 879 Total, 27 in hospital with 4 in ICU on ventilators.
