I'm a year late finding this one but couldn't resist it.

'Eat Out to Help Out'  was an initiative in the UK in August 2020 designed to assist cafes and restaurants recover their business after lockdown. It allowed us a discount on food and non alcoholic drinks.  £849 million was spent on it which was more than had been anticipated.   It was later branded a 'mistake' as it contributed to the resurgence of the virus. However those of us who took full advantage of it at the time probably shouldn't complain.  D'oh!
