One day . . .

 . . . this garage will house our cars.  But while we are decorating and renovating it has loads of detritus and materials inside.

Or that's my excuse for such untidiness.  It was a grotty day today – poor weather and  salty water.  The latter because our plumber had rectified a problem of bypassing the water softener by reverse-plumbing the new pipework.  Luckily, the softener suppliers had a switched-on plumber who came and rectified the problem in less than half an hour.  He turned out to have been a Royal Navy Harrier mechanic, so we had a bit of banter about how each other's former uniformed service was useless.
