Battens

The carpenter completed adding battens to the counter battens yesterday while we were out. He has the advantage of years of experience and a large van of tools, so his work has gone rather well. My DIY goes more slowly, as we don't have all the tools, or the experience. Today was a trip to the DIY shop to get more stuff, and finish of another task. Today's bip was taken in the middle of the day when it was sunny and before the shadow from the tall building to our west is cast of the the extension.
