A wee common drone fly …..

…… enjoying a few restful moments on this vibrant yellow yarrow.

A trip down to the gardens at Dumfries House …… weather rather dull, the rain threatened but didn’t come to much. The grass was very wet after yesterday’s rain and my feet would have stayed dry if I hadn’t strayed from the paths.

The Walled Garden was looking very colourful with plenty of roses, gladioli, cosmos, echinacea, rudbeckia, helenium and the list could go on.

Coffee and a shared scone to start our visit and then a lovely bowl of soup before our journey home …. the roads were just a bit busy.
