Maybe, maybe not...
Watched the film Worth last night, about the lawyer who had to decide how much to pay in compensation to the families of people who died on 9/11. How do you calculate how much a life is worth? How much should intangible things like 'caring' or 'kindness' count towards the final figure? What counts as ‘next of kin’? Are some lives simply worth more than others? It was certainly thought-provoking. I'd always just assumed everyone's lives had been of equal value.
