Floating Holiday Day 1

We had an early start with a drive up to Yorkshire. We’ve hired a canal boat which Annie and I are sharing with Annie’s brother and partner. Original route plans have changed due to a closed lock and low water levels but we’ve now got a route in mind.

We started in Staithwaite and have moored near Marsden this evening having made our way through 9 locks during the course of the afternoon. it already feels like a relaxing time, just what we needed right now.
