Scythe, roll, and pitch
Today, seven of us went to mow a meadow or, to be more precise,
one man, A, scythed the wildflower meadow in our local wildlife area, while one woman, T, rolled the cuttings and used a pitchfork to transfer them to what soon became a huge pile. The extras show how it looked before, and after, they got to to work.
Meanwhile, the remaining five of us variously strimmed, mowed, and raked, the paths and smaller grassy areas, and pruned some unruly shrubs.
