Meeting the relative

A day of pilgrimage with friends from the church. We met up at North Queensferry and started out on the Fife pilgrim way heading to Inverkeithing and then onto Dunfermline where we had a service in the Abbey.

A lovely day of companionship and chat.

At the end of the service we looked at what is believed to be the tomb of Robert the Bruce buried under the pulpit in the abbey.

According to our son who is researching the family tree he is my 19 times great grandfather through the McAdam line in the south west of Scotland – often via the female line. Well researched and verified. So along with a large proportion of the Scottish population I can claim a link!
