Our Time Now

I took this picture to represent the time that has gotten away from me this week. All of the sudden I realized it was Thursday and felt completely overwhelmed and unaccomplished. Literally, the clock is ticking. The clock is ticking on my decision of my career goals. The clock is ticking for grad school applications. The clock is ticking for Nick's academy graduation. The clock is ticking for Kara's first birthday. The clock is ticking ... the clock is ticking ... the clock is ticking ... (fill in the blank). I needed this week to make some decisions and outline some goals/prospective timelines - and here it is Thursday and I am just sitting at my home computer for the first time this week!

Everyday I took a picture for blip-world, but by the time I got home to upload and write it was past midnight and no longer applicable for the "same day" rule. Dang. The clock is ticking in blip-world too.

As I sat down to write this I turned on the Plain White T's song "Our Time Now" and am subdued by the lyrics,

"There will be no rules tonight,
If there were we'd break them."

Even though this is a song for lovers, I apply this to my own little world tonight.
