Red, Green, and Blue

Polaroid House

I always wanted to take a photo of this building ever since I got here and after four months here it is. Photo Michel Bernatets is a cell phone retailer and a obviously a camera shop. This is where I bought my French phone here and I often go here to recharge my phone with credit. However, the last time I went, which was I think Monday 6:59pm, I went in right when it was closing time and the guy that always helps me tells me "c'est coupé." Or rather, it's cut. I was like what's cut? But I realized they were closing shop. That would not have happened in the US. If a customer wants to give you their money, the retailer will gladly take it. (BTW, here's some signs they were putting up back in the beginning of February.)

Anyway, I just went out for a little stroll tonight. I hadn't taken any photos all day, but I planned to go out to do some night shots. It was warm out and I felt like it was a rather comforting night. I miss warm weather. All week it's been in the 60-70F.

Before, I left the house I ate dinner. I cooked my rumsteak that I had marinated in soy sauce, pepper, garlic, lemon, and a touch of honey. It was rather good. I ate it with the mashed potatoes I had made yesterday and had coke to drink. April had brought me a baguette from Le Fournil du Papé this afternoon and I had a little of that too.

I also baked the pre-mixed lemon cake batter for desert. When I came back after my walk, I took a little bite. It was good.

I stayed home all day today. I worked on my paper for film sociology. It's supposed to be a lecture du fiche, which is like a summary with quotes and a section on my ideas about some articles I read about pitfalls about director's cut DVDs. It's slowly making progress and I hope to finish soon so that I can work on my film economy paper. I have until my birthday to finish them both. Time is a ticking! My birthday is a week from tomorrow.

Against better judgement, I will be going to Lourdes tomorrow and will be coming back Saturday night. Lourdes was where the Virgin Mary appeared about two centuries ago to a French girl who I believed was named Bernadette. I will be going with April.
