From Acorn to Oak

I think it’s an apt analogy. Last year Emma Raducanu  was an acorn in tennis terms, now she is a mighty oak. Like many people I was entranced watching the US Open Tennis Final last night. We all  know that Emma has a lovely smile, but she is ruthless and unforgiving on a tennis court. It was a great match which is only possible when you have two great players. I thought it might go to three sets, but Emma clearly wasn’t for hanging around.  I hope she survives this sudden fame and all the demands it will heap on her.
