Craneflies

A bit of bug porn, this morning. Saw one daddy long legs on my wall when I went out into the garden this morning, about a hour later when I went back out it had been joined by a mate. So it had to be my blip for today as I had never witnessed this before. Just hope the female lays her eggs anywhere but in my lawn as I don't care for leatherjackets, as their larvae are called.

Talking of lawns, that was was the main chore this morning,as rain is forecast for later today and tomorrow. I dropped the cutter level as I have Greenkeepers coming in at the end of the month to hollow tine and scarify the lawns, and would like the grass cut before hand. Hopefully the weather will hold up for me to give the grass another couple of cuts beforehand.
