Himalayan Balsam

Impatiens glandulifera.
Considered to be a great pest and banned in both the EU and the UK but very difficult to get rid of. Quite a lot of it growing in the ditches around here. Perhaps we should try controlling it by using it to make jam. Apparently most of the flower and seed pods can be used for this. Why not just top them and eat them!!!!
