Hanging on to summer.

A good night's sleep and up early.  Gave the place a hoover and cleaned the bathroom.  Took some photos in the garden. Still the odd bee. Now that the garden is packing up for the summer I'm going to be stuck for photos until my car is checked over but that's always interesting as it's amazing what you find when you have to.  My insurer's phoned but it still wasn't a claims adjuster, just someone wanting me to tell them what happened.  It was a short call and I'll probably have to tell it all again when I do get to speak to a claims person.
Andy cleaned my car in the morning and came for coffee in the afternoon.  Got the sorry story of the car and said the scratches had cleaned up and were better than they had appeared at first.  Went out to look and it's true.  Neither of us thought they were worth doing anything about so I'm going to leave them till I come back from Galloway and see how I feel then.  Had a nice afternoon, drinking coffee, eating cake, grumping about the government, the condition of things people bring to Andy's charity shop, a holiday he's not keen to go on and the good news that his daughter Emma and her partner have moved to a new flat about ten minutes drive away.  So a nice day, I'm feeling better and thank you everyone for your kind comments and sympathy.  It meant a lot.
