‘A Pleasant Musical Surprise’
Three members of Tinderbox Orchestra at an afternoon of outdoors music, ‘Music for Bridges’ which took place in five locations on and around North Edinburgh’s cycle paths. (See also extra photos!)
We had been looking forward to the event, which we thought would be an ideal opportunity to combine some lively music with our Sunday afternoon walk.
We were not disappointed:- the orchestra’s members offered a mesmerising mixture of different types of music, giving a rather different take of what an orchestra can be, and displaying a wide range of individual talent and improvisation, culminating with a jam session by the Water of Leith.
The Tinderbox Orchestra is a project of the Tinderbox Collective - a community of young people, musicians, artists and youth workers, and a registered Scottish charity.
