Autumn Sowing

A bright sunny day but cool overnight - 10 degrees at 7am when I let Merlin in to the garden. Porridge for breakfast followed by a pre-dog walk massage for Andy - some practice for me before next weekend’s assessment!

A glorious dog walk in the calm autumn sunshine, a bit of seed sowing in the hope of having some more flowers to attract bees to the garden next year, plus a trip to the allotment to dig up one of two old gooseberry bushes whose roots are entwined with bramble and bindweed. Merlin came with me and sat quietly for two hours. So pleased.

Andy made blackberry and apple sponge for pudding- delicious and much needed after all that digging!

I hope your weekend has been a good one. Take care x
