Scarecrow Man

In the midst of the 9/11 memorials, friends and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to bring a few smiles into our lives. This ‘man’ is the result of our ‘scarecrow-making’ class at Peddlers Village, Lahaska PA. Along with instructions came the Hay-bale, shirt & pants (of your choosing), pantyhose (yes, pantyhose - the arms & head of your man!) twine for suspenders and to keep the body attached to the legs (tied to the front belt loops then up & over, crisscrossed in the back and secured to the back belt loops. ( plastic - I wished it were rope twine), and Wallah ! You have yourself a scarecrow !

A wonderful time with friends, lunch and walking around the Village shops and admiring the bountiful, artistic display of scarecrows presented by the shops, children and adults looking to win the competition ! Fabulous !!
