Past its best but still beautiful

This is a broken organ situated in St Georges church in the little Dorset Island, Portland.

We're just having a little visit to Flick (she lived with us as our lodger for the whole of 2012 and now we consider her a good friends - we were v lucky!), who has moved here while she works for the Tank Museum. Flick is one of those people who are naturally fascinating, you can talk to her for hours.

Even though we've only been here 24 hours, our little personal tour guide here has made sure we've seen the whole of the island. So many photos were taken and it was hard pick one but we all liked this one. There was another photo I nearly picked, where we went up to the highest view point of Portland (which randomly has the Olympic rings statue) and you look out to the whole of the island and Chesil beach. I read Ian McEwan's Chesil Beach book a few years ago, its an interesting one but I was really happy to see where the book was set and couldn't believe Flick has this as her view out of her bedroom window.
