A Much Better Day
Just knowing that I wouldn't have a migraine today made the day better! We had a nice walk at the Arboretum - for some reason it's been a while now - fun to be back there. I've put a very autumnal looking shot into the extras if you'd care to see it. Bone dry, leaves already brown and falling, with some trees turning color already.
Spent the afternoon doing some work at my desk since it was a murky afternoon, but when the sun came out I puttered around in the garden. I planted a fall crop of carrots, beets and arugula, as well as another sowing of lettuce. The peas are growing well. It's always a bit of a crap shoot...sowing these fall veggies. Will the season be long enough and warm enough for them to grow enough before the cool, rainy weather sets in? But it's always fun to try.
I've been trying to get a good photo of the anemone's this fall, and I like this one!
I'm meeting my 3 siblings at my mom's retirement community tomorrow to see what they have to say about availability of higher care. But we've decided to gather information first, before talking with her. We also don't want her to think that we're doing this behind her back, and then ganging up on her. I wish she would think that she needs a move.
