Life in a Northern Town

By kagsy

Ice ice baby.

When I pulled back the curtains this morning the garden was dazzlingly bright, and it seems the lovely, soft powdery snow has now turned to ice. 2 hours of digging out the drive yesterday paid off, so we could venture out gingerly in the car. The side roads are skating rinks, but fortunately we live near the hospital, which has its own snow plough, and so our road is fairly clear.
It is bitterly cold today, but the sun is peeping through; I am not sure how long the icicles will last so I will post the shot on here and they will achieve immortality!
Keep warm.
See here for more icicles - I got carried away!
