Fire On The Mountain

This was taken through the window of the top landing in my apartment block just after midnight last night.

Admittedly through a long lens, but even so, quite a scary sight.

This morning it didn't seem so bright, but apparently the fire has moved around the mountain out of sight to some extent.

We are due some rain today and tomorrow, so let's hope it's heavy.

The ADANA dog shelter was successfully evacuated yesterday afternoon and by 3 o´clock, just as the Guardia were closing the area down and making everybody leave, the last dog was taken to temporary lodgings.

The latest news I have is that the newly-created firebreaks around the shelter may have indeed spared the place from all but minor damage.
