Small Tortoiseshell

The Buddleia bush in Pollok is fading fast as we head into autumn but there are still one or two flowers in bloom and this Small Tortoiseshell had taken up sole occupancy of this flower.
Weather conditions were ideal but I only saw the one butterfly.

I have a bit of a sore arm today having been stung by a wasp last night. I don’t know where it came from but I saw it in beside the bulb on my bedside light, then it decided to sting my left forearm. I hate wasps and wasn’t best pleased when my arm decided to swell like a sausage on a barbecue. It’s hot and itchy ….. hope the antibiotics prescribed kick in soon.
